The Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering Group at
the University of Connecticut is a subset of the Environmental Engineering
Program. As a group, we are dedicated to excellence in research
and education. We direct our students in collaborative fashion, to
learn together as we perform research at the frontiers of hydrology and
water resources engineering.
Our faculty all have a considerable number of active research projects. Our funding comes from state, national, and international agencies. We are presently receiving funding from: Connecticut Dept. of Environmental Protection, U.S. Forest Service, NASA, US Army Corps of Engineers, US Army Research Office, US Environmental Protection Agency, US National Science Foundation. In the past year our faculty and students in Water Resources Engineering have performed research in the United States in: Arizona, Connecticut, Maine, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, and Virginia. We have also been involved in collaborations in Bangladesh, Greece, Italy, Brazil and Panama.
Our wide variety
of research projects provides many opportunities for exciting graduate
research on the cutting-edge of Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering.
The Water Resources group in the Environmental Engineering Field of Study
presently has 6 Ph.D. level students and a number of M.S. level students.
